FIRST WESTERN OIL & GAS LLC

THE PERMIAN BASIN

First Western Oil believes that he Permian Basin offers a
characteristic that is extremely unique and is not available
in any other shale formations in the country. First Western
Oil believes its stacked formations make it possible to
intersect hundreds of feet of pay zones with one verticle
wellbore, avoiding the cost incurred with horizontal drilling.
Drilling about over 10,000 feet or more deep below the surface to reach
one thick band of shale is how production is achieved in formations
like the Bakken or Eagle ford. The wellbore stays deep within the
shale and is turned horizontally and extended. First Western Oil
knows that, commonly, these areas drive up the cost of a well
substantially, due to 15,000 feet of combined verticle/horizontal
wellbore.
First Western Oil believes that cost-efficient verticle welbores
produce a solid amount of oil and gas in the intersecting multiple
"stacked" zones in the Permian, making the economics, especially at
today's prices, very attractive.
The Permian Basin also offers the benefit of a vast pipeline
infrastructure, with nearly 100 years of production. First Western
Oil believes The "takeaway" cost is neglegible in the Permian,
where there are thousands of miles of pipelines compared to the
relative newcomer, the Bakken. First Western Oil believes that this
is substancially adding to the cost and making the area less attractive
at today's prices, trucks or rails must carry the oil out of state in
North Dakota.
